I have been working with Coach Tarun for almost 2 years at this point, and I cannot say enough good things.

I was immediately drawn to Tarun's approach to fitness and body changes from following him on Instagram. His emphasis is on enjoying the process, athletic ability over aesthetics, and inhabiting the body. At the time, I had not exercised properly in 5 years, was significantly overweight, had a horrible relationship with food and my body, and suffered from chronic pain. I felt overwhelmed by the changes I needed to make but knew I didn't want to hit a milestone birthday in this kind of shape. Coach Tarun was empathetic, kind, and compassionate to a fault. He didn't make me feel negative about my body or my abilities (despite being overweight and very unfit)—an experience which I've unfortunately had a lot when training or in sport. He asked thorough questions, and within less than 6 months of working together, my chronic pain was reduced to zero! I had accepted that I would never be free from that pain, and to have it eliminated was truly amazing.

Every step of the way, Tarun has positively reinforced, supported, and championed me. I have struggled with disordered eating for more than half my life, and both he and Emily have done so much to equip me with tools and information to change my habits. I am in a place I truly never believed I would reach now, largely thanks to Tarun—I really enjoy moving my body and trying new things in the gym. My medical observations are pretty damn perfect, I am pain-free, and have not binged or restricted for a long time. I haven't eliminated or banned anything in my diet, and if I make a "mistake"—eat something that wasn't worth it, overdo it on caffeine, forget a meal—I am kind and compassionate to myself.

Not only has what Tarun helped me achieve been nothing short of miraculous (no pain, loving fitness, no binging, health markers good, liking myself), but he truly cares about me as a human being. His check-ins with me are full of valuable information and also warmth, humor, and encouragement. I'm beyond grateful and excited to see what more we can accomplish!

He knows his stuff and he'll properly work with you to make the best program, and then continually review and adapt the program to your needs and goals.

My program had a fantastic range of training modalities including strength (elements of calisthenics and powerlifting), explosive power (plyos), muscular endurance, functional movements, and much more.

I'd recommend Different Breed Coaching to anyone who wants to improve themselves both physically and mentally—definitely worth it!

I came to Emily with back pain and a vague goal to continue powerlifting. After some time, I realized PBs weren't worth the pain and I had to fix the problem. I decided to redirect my focus and explored other skills like calisthenics, flexibility, and cardio alongside the resistance training. Emily guided me through this journey, offering feedback, sometimes pushing me to test myself, but always being a positive voice to fall back on when I second-guessed myself.

I found her programming really creative given I sometimes couldn't use my lower back, and she was really flexible to my specific needs. I've hit loads of lifetime PBs while she's coached me, and I've been able to rebuild a positive relationship with exercise and food. I feel so much more willing to just learn new skills and have fun with it.

I'm someone that hates being put in a box and has many interests in the realm of fitness, so when I saw Different Breed Coaching on Instagram a couple of times with Tarun doing all the things (seriously ALL things: calisthenics, BJJ, bodybuilding, acro), I decided to just book a call because you'll never know if you don't try!

The stars aligned and I got paired with MY AWESOME COACH EMILY—I LOVE YA DUDE! The consultation was smooth, fun, and informative... The coaching was on point, FUN, and game-changing. The program was very flexible, FUN, and actually had transferrable and quick impact. It was awesome seeing the gains and I became way more comfortable in the gym despite being a newbie.

If I could afford it, I would certainly keep the coaching because Emily is the most encouraging and understanding coach I've had (not to mention she's a BEAST herself). Man, it was the best training I've received and I'm incredibly grateful for how life-changing it was not only in the gym but for life.

I've trained with Tarun for the past 13 months and have seen PRs that I have not dreamed of, not to mention really significant body recomposition results. While body weight fluctuated within a 5% range, I was able to increase my activity level, improve my weightlifting as a novice (only been lifting for 4 months till I found Tarun on IG reels last year & the rest is history), and also recomp my body so that I have bigger muscles and a smaller waist (-3 inches) over the year.

Also got help with climb conditioning programming and was able to recently top my first V4! Even for lifting, I started from 50kg zercher squats to 110kg zercher squats and 30kg benches to 50kg—all with Tarun's programming, encouragement, and feedback.

When I began last year, I was very new to gymming despite having been active all my life—and working with Tarun's programming helped me build a sustainable habit of going to the gym at least twice a week. He was very supportive of my goals of just becoming really strong. He is very flexible with the workout programming and has helped provide tailored workout options for my busy days/bouldering conditioning or whatever other requests I might have depending on my time availabilities or energy levels and the type of injury I am working with. Appreciated that if I did not like certain movements, he always had other fun alternatives to suggest so that I can sustainably keep fit.

Having worked with other coaches who are more focused on getting me slimmed down or suggesting I do more cardio, working with Tarun has given me a new perspective on fitness. I can do everything I like to do and build my own version of my fit self!

**If I get the chance to get back to training with Tarun—I definitely will.**
